Danke! Merci! Grazie!
During Thank You Week, we encouraged our community to think about saying thank you – whether it’s to the scientists that tirelessly work to find new ways to treat diabetes and search for a cure, doctors who help us stay healthy, parents who check on blood sugar levels at night, loved ones who support our diabetes journey, or people who donate money to help fund our research into diabetes – and we are just amazed at the response. So many messages from so many. Thank you!
Here are some great messages!!
Did you know that research supports an association between gratitude and wellbeing? For example, one study found that those who kept gratitude journals on a weekly basis exercised more regularly, reported fewer physical symptoms, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic about the upcoming week compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral life events (Emmons & McCullough, 2003). Incredible!
So, what are you waiting for, continue to feel grateful – and let us know anytime you want!
