FREE NATIONAL DIABETES WEEK WEBINAR

WA diabetes researchers are hosting a free webinar as part of National Diabetes Week aimed at helping debunk some of the myths relating to gestational diabetes.

The event, happening at midday (AWST) on Tuesday July 14 and organised by Diabetes Research WA, will also discuss pre-diabetes and the impact it can have on pregnancy, and reveal how research is aiming to transform how we detect and manage gestational diabetes into the future.

Presenters include Erica Spry, a Bardi Jawi traditional owner, Aboriginal researcher from Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services, an adjunct research fellow with RCSWA/UWA and has experienced gestational diabetes, Emma Jamieson, Researcher from the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia and Associate Professor Julia Marley, also from the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia.
