Regular giving is no ordinary act.
It can have an extraordinary impact.
Committing to giving money weekly or monthly to diabetes research ensures that, rather than searching for funds, WA's finest minds can fast-track their search for a cure.
If a lot of us give a little, regularly, we can transform the lives of the growing number of us whose lives are being impacted by diabetes. Regular Giving. An Extraordinary - and extraordinarily simple - way to make a difference
Diabetes is rapidly becoming one of the most challenging health issues we now face. We are determined to change this but we need your help. Here is a snapshot on diabetes in Australia:
- Around 1.7 million Australians already have diabetes and, every 5 minutes, another Australian develops it. That’s why we’re committed to finding a cure for and finding new ways to prevent and treat all forms of diabetes and believe we will achieve our goal through funding exceptional research.
- Medical researchers – including those in WA – face an increasingly uncertain future and securing government funding is incredibly competitive. This means our organisation, which can help keep critical research projects alive, is becoming even more important.
Our focus is on ensuring we can keep directing 80% of the funds we receive into critical research projects. Regular giving and these Be Extraordinary events are key to this.
Regular fixed donations help keep our fundraising costs low and give our best scientists certainty of funding for their promising initiatives, meaning they can better the lives of those with diabetes faster.
